9/11 Conspiracies Fail the "Smell Test"

If 9/11 was an elaborate plot to create public support for going into Iraq, implementing the New World Order etc. - why the hell didn't they have at least one of the hijackers come from Iraq?

Certainly if this whole thing is a complete conspiracy it wouldn't have been hard to arrange for. They could have even implicated Saddam Hussein himself.

For that matter - if George Bush and company are the evil geniuses who masterminded 9/11 - wouldn't they also be the types who could (and would) have planted WMD's in Iraq for the troops to find?

Bush almost lost the 2004 election - and it was clear it would be close for some time leading up to it. Certainly if WMD's were uncovered in August of 2004 - it would've helped him in the polls. But apparently, while Bush was able to have 9/11 pulled off, manufacturing such evidence was out of his capability. Either that, or he had ethical issues with it.

The only response I can imagine to the above is that these contradictions are part of the conspiracy itself. They have been manufactured to give the appearance of everything not being, "too perfect" - and hence keep people like myself from speculating what might be really going on.

Perhaps George Bush was in such complete control of the country leading up to the 2004 election that he had no concern for his public approval. He knew he would win the election, because he and his helpers were in control of everything including the actual poll results.

And presumably the Democrats taking over the House and Senate in 2006 was also planned and allowed for by the Bush administration?

This argument reminds me of young-earth creationists claiming that dinosaurs never existed and that fossils were placed in the ground by god to test our faith in him.

The kindest thing I can say is, "bullshit!"
