Please don't buy SpamButcher without trying it first!I get a few support requests each week from poor, confused users. For whatever reason, I got about 7 such requests this Monday. A few paraphrased excerpts:
I ordered and received Spam Fighters. It is not getting rid of the spam. I am getting as many spam as before. Please help me. Why do you take my money and then I start getting all this trash? I am confused. I still cannot download your product and have not received the CDs (we don't sell CDs) that you advertised. I would appreciate a refund of this service. None of these people are good candidates to use SpamButcher. Although we'd like to think that SpamButcher is relatively easy to setup and use, we understand that it at least requires users know their email password before it can start filtering spam. It some cases it needs to be setup from scratch in the same way an email client does. What's painful is that often these users ask for their money back after seven or eight support requests. We do have a 30-day money-back policy and honor it. However, the fiasco could've been avoided had they simply downloaded the trial first. In one recent situation we repeatedly made proactive efforts to prevent a user suffering from caps-lock syndrome from purchasing the product. After it became clear they would never be happy customer, we instructed them they should probably uninstall. They in turn suggested we were some kind of scam and threatened to report us to various government agencies. Again, they had not given us any money, and had told them they should not purchase. Yes, we do live in a confusing world. So please, ladies and gentlemen, if you're considering purchasing SpamButcher or any product online - give that free trial a spin first. If you don't like it, don't buy it. If you can't get it working, it's probably not for you.
