For god's sake, skip the fluff.

As head of support for a spam buster, I deal with a good number of emails every day. It amazes me how many people are incapable of creating a well-written support request.

Consider the request below. It's fictitious, but closely modeled after an email I just got.

I am writing you about a problem that started happening after our internet company got purchased by another one. The spam stoppers were working fine when my email was jobob@someisp.com, but things stopped working once they changed it to jobob12@mynewisp.com. I think that's what mixed things up. I told everyone about my new address, but I think someone either at my ISP or at SpamButcher didn't understand what to do. The people at my ISP don't know how to help with these things. My spam used to go into SpamButcher, but now it goes into my Outlook. I don't want it to go there. I logged into my new service provider's website to try to tell it to go there, but it didn't. All I get is spam now. Why did you stop working? SpamButcher used to work well, but I'm not sure if it's doing anything or not now. Please fix this for me. I'm not very good with computers.
