Double Bastard

Here's a (very) preliminary design for my next bot - Double B(astard):

Body: Lexan, carbon fiber and some legos
Drive: Tamiya Gearbox from Sozbots
Drive Speed Control: Sozbots
Power: 5 x Sanyo 500AC Nicads
Weapon Motor: Promax 370? Speed 400?
Blade: Carbide or Cobalt Steel
Weapon Speed Control: Electrifly 30 amp

Top speed should be around 3 ft / second (roughly 2mph). This may sound slow - but will actually be a lot faster than my last bot, and a lot of other antweights. Probably not as fast as the original Arrogant Bastard - but probably more controllable.

The thing back is an anti-roll hoop - will most likely be a strip of 1/16” lexan. The idea is the bot should just roll back over if flipped. It will be interested to see if this works as well in reality as concept.

Double Bastard will likely be making it debut at the Seattle Science Center sometime in April.
