"The Little Death" has met it's demise due to an
undiagnosed component failure on it's main board - most likely caused by
someone trying to rewire stuff who didn't know what they were doing.
The good news is enough components are still functional for me to develop a
weapons system out of it for the next generation bot. The "spinning
hacksaw blade of death" subsystem ways in at 5.5 ounces. It spins
"really fast" and delivers enough of a blow to knock over a beer
bottle (I'm not sure how many newtons that is). I've also managed to
utilize -both- rubberbands and duct tape in the design. Considering
"The Little Death" wieghed about 13 ounces - I should be able
to get bot and weapon to under 1lbs with a little more trimming (ie - 4AA
batteries get replaced with a single 9V)
