SpamButcher - Behind the Cleaver

Spamcop is primarily used by users to report spam - but they also offer a filtered mail account service. The idea is to forward your existing email to your new Spamcop account - which handles the spam email filtering.

As far as I could tell Spamcop didn't actually do anything to help with eliminating spam. I know for a fact that Spamcop manages a fairly effective anti-spam blacklist, so I'm somewhat skeptical if there were technical problems (which may or may not have been fixed subsequently).

One way or another - it didn't work - and I've heard similar from other users.

I briefly evaluated a few other blockers of spam email and found them to have similar problems that I'd encountered with other spam blocker utilities I'd tried.
