Cutting Edge Spam Elimination
I'm a dial-up user and find SpamButcher isn't catching much of my Spam. What's wrong?
Verify that SpamButcher is properly configured for dial-up use:
- Open SpamButcher by clicking its icon
- Click Configure
- Select Options
- Verify "I use a dial-up account to connect to the internet" is checked
- Verify "Check for new spam as soon as I connect to the internet" is checked
Important: Just after connecting to the Internet, SpamButcher's email spam filter will start removing spam from your mail server. During this time SpamButcher will display a checkmark over its icon. Depending on how much mail is on your server, this process may take several minutes. Wait until the checkmark is gone before attempting to check your email.
