DNS Blacklists (also referred to as SMTP Blacklists or Blocklists) contain lists of servers, internet domains or networks that are known to be sources of spam. Different blacklists have different criteria for inclusion.
These blacklists are then used by various spam blockers to help determine which messages are spam and which aren't.
