Increasingly, many software authors have been shipping their applications with various forms of malware, spyware or adware. SpamButcher does not do this.

In an effort to minimize any concerns, here is a complete list of all files installed by SpamButcher and their purposes.

(C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32)	Purpose
ANPOP.DLL, ANSSLPLUS.DLL	Connects to POP3 servers (incoming email) to download messages. Provided by AdminSystem Software.
ANSMTP.DLL	Connects to SMTP (outgoing email) servers to restore messages and send reports. Provided by AdminSystem Software. There have been a few cases where this component has been misused by authors for malicious purposes. This has resulted in a few periodic "false-positives" by anti-spyware programs.
ANSSLPLUS.DLL	Used by ANPOP.DLL and ANSMTP.DLL for SSL (secure) connections
MSVBVM60.DLL, MCI32.OCX, COMDLG32.OCX, TABCTL32.OCX, MSCOMCTL.OCX	Visual Basic runtime and components provided by Microsoft - already installed on most systems
(C:\PROGRAM FILES\SPAMBUTCHER)	Purpose
UNINSTALL.EXE	Uninstaller provided by Setup2GO. For reasons unknown, we have received a few reports of Microsoft Antispyware having problems with this file. Upon further testing, neither SpamButcher nor third-parties have been able to replicate the issue. Microsoft Antispyware is still in beta, and has a collaborative filtering feature that may make it more prone to false-positives.

ANDLL.DLL	Alternate name for ANSMTP.DLL (see above)
ANSSLPLUS.DLL	Additional copy of SSL component (see above)
CUT.WAV	New email sound
SPAMBUTCHER.EXE	Main SpamButcher application
SBSTOP.EXE	Closes SpamButcher application before upgrading to a new version
UNINST.BAT	Launches SBSTOP.EXE before uninstalling
UNINST.EXE	Offers users the option of technical support before they uninstall
SETUP.LOG	Setup2GO log file
SETUP.TMP	Setup2GO temporary file
