Commonly the sender of the unsolicited message offers to give away an Ipod in exchange for something. The sender of the unwanted message wants you to participate in survey, or sign up for a credit card.

Clearly neither these examples would really warrant giving away an Ipod.

Spammers rarely keep their word. As any spam fighter knows, they are thieves and liars.

More concerning than not getting your Ipod should be what they intend to do with your information.
