MS-DIS(sed) by 'Open Sauce'

From the people who claimed you could format a 120GB drive up to 190GB - if only the man didn't suppress the info - comes the sub-heading:

"Open sauce obsession killed it."

This article has something to due with the ill-fated effort to block unwanted emails - Sender ID.

Microsoft has a long track record of being against any open source efforts. For that matter, they generally don't participate in projects that might result in any new open standard being established.

This attitude may present a serious stumbling-block for future anti-spam efforts. There a several technically valid ways to modify email standards to combat spam. All of them will require cooperation on the part of industry leaders.

Personally, I'm a fan of "Open Sauce." In fact, if there's a bottle of sauce around - given the right occasion - I'll certainly open it.

This has virtually nothing to do with the antispam email product - SpamButcher.
