Trojan Software Spreads via Spam

Email security organizations sent out notices regarding a new trojan last week.

The trojan: Backdoor-CGT is installed when users go to a web page in the message and choose to install code distributed via a hijacked website. Microsoft and Mozilla have recently introduced new browsers that make it more difficult for users to run executable code from distributors who aren't trusted.

This does not appear to be a new vulnerability in Outlook - just another case of people using computers who probably shouldn't. On the other hand, such a high degree of user educated really shouldn't be mandatory just to surf the web.
