Battery Chargers

Electrifly Triton

This is a great charger. I've had mine for a couple years and am quite happy with it.

It handles all the major battery types - NiMH, NiCad (1-24 cells), Pb, Lithium Ion / Polymer (1-4 cells). Current is adjustable from .1 to 5 amps (2.5 amps max for Lithium).

You can program it to cycle / condition batteries for a set number of times.

The display shows how much power has gone into a battery - or alternately how much has been extracted when discharging. This lets you easily verify that your pack is in good shape.

You will need to purchase an 12VDC power supply separately. Make sure to get one that can kick out a greater amount of current than you would anticipate charging your batteries at.

This charger can be purchased at www.robotcombat.com for $129.99.

DuraTrax IntelliPeak AC/DC Pulse Charger

If you're just starting out but want something fancier than just an DC power supply to charge your batteries with - this is a good choice.

It supports both NiCad and NiMH batteries up to 7 cells. It has a built-in power supply that can charge at a rate of up to 3 amps. When used with an external power supply - up to 8 cells can be charged at a rate of 6.5 amps.

It is available from www.towerhobbies.com for the reasonable price of $54.99.
