Human Spam Filters

A company by the name of Eprovista is now employing a new anti-spam filter technology - human beings.

The advantage of this is obvious - people are presumably smarter than computer based spam busters - and hence likely to catch more spam - without deleting your wanted email.

The downside is also pretty obvious. Your email is getting read by another human being - who can vicariously get to know who your friends are or see any other information that's destined for your inbox.

I'm sure they have a strong privacy policy - but we all know how those things can get violated. In case of disgruntled employee - or worse yet if they whole company goes belly-up - who knows where your information might end up.

I'll stick with microprocessor controlled anti-spam email systems, thank you.
