When first released, SpamButcher was the only commercially available anti-spam product to use fuzzy logic.

Different Accounts, Different Spam
I have two main accounts - both get some spam, but the content is quite different.
My first account is ancient. It dates back almost 10 years at this point. It's with a major web mail provider. I've used it to register domains back when you could download the entire registration database.
I also probably did a few stupid things with it. I probably sent an e-card or two using it at some point - which is a sure fire way to sign up for junk e-mail. Tip - nothing in this world is truly free.
Also, my email provider (beings with a Y, ends with an O) decided to sell all their account info to spammers. Whoops.
Almost all the spam I get on this account is directly trying to sell me something. This makes it pretty easy for my spam email stopper to identify and remove it.
My other account is newer. The main place it's publicly visible is on a heavily trafficked website. It gets some spam, but not nearly as much.
The spam I do get falls into a few categories:
1. Trying to sell me services for the website (hosting, design, etc)
2. Stuff in a foreign language - or even non-english character set. I guess the spammers think that may, just maybe I'm Korean.
3. Hello, You do not be knowing me, but my family is very Wealthy. I need your help in a business dealing. My father was killed in the uprising...
This stuff is much more random and harder for email filtering software to identify and remove. Clearly the spam is from people who are using 'crawlers' to pick-up my email address. The first account is mostly from people who found my address on a list. I suspect eventually my newer account will make its way on to the same lists.
The SpamButcher filtration system can function as Outlook anti-spam software. Used with Outlook or Outlook Express blocked messages from SpamButcher's reports can be restored directly to your inbox. However, it is not tied to any specific mail application. It can work equally well as a spamblocker for other clients.
