Another Phishing ScamSpamButcher's spam email blocker usually catches most phishing scams. It missed this latest one though.
From: Me To: You Someone is sending your private e-mails to my address. It's probably a problem with your e-mail provider. So far, I've gotten over 10 mails sent to my account that were intended for you. They are inside the enclosed attachment.Everyone has heard of this sort of thing happening. Usually it means your system got infected with a Trojan or worm. In this case, it more likely means that someone else's system got infected and is blasting out the emails. The email contained an attached ZIP file. Zip files themselves are generally safe. By default, SpamButcher's spam protection software doesn't block files with attached .ZIPs. However, they can contain other file types that are executable and can be destructive. Needless to say, the file had an .EXE inside it. No need to investigate further. Viruses and worms used to be the domain of hackers with a poor sense of humor. More recently they've been used as tools to make money. There are a few ways to profit on the internet and sending junk email is one of them. Fortunately there's also at least a little money in selling spam solutions.
