Options![]() Checking Check for new spam every: Use the slider to set how frequently SpamButcher checks for new spam. Setting this lower will enable SpamButcher to catch more spam. Try setting it higher if your e-mail client has problems logging on. Setting the slider all the way to the right will cause SpamButcher to check for new messages only when you click the Check Now button. I use a dial-up account to connect to the internet Check this box if you use a dial-up account. This will cause SpamButcher to only check for new spam when online. Check for new spam as soon as I connect to the internet Checking this box will cause SpamButcher to check for new messages as soon as you connect to the internet with your dial-up account. Purge old spam every: Use the slider to set how long SpamButcher will keep intercepted spam before permanently deleting it. Play sound after receiving new (non-spam) mail Check this box to have SpamButcher play a sound after receiving a new non-spam message. Click the "Pick Sound" button to select the sound. Start SpamButcher automatically when I logon Checking this box will place SpamButcher in your startup group so that it will run each time you logon. Reporting Send me spam reports via e-mail If you would like SpamButcher to send you periodic e-mail summaries of all received spam, check this box. The reports may be scheduled by selecting a time of day and the days of the week you would like to receive the reports. If you are a user of Outlook or Outlook Express, you can restore intercepted messages directly from the reports. This functionality may work with other e-mail clients, but has not been tested. Send reports even when there's no new spam Check this box if you wish to receive a spam report even if no new spam has been intercepted. Report Now Clicking this button will cause SpamButcher to send an e-mail report immediately. Send reports to the account: Select which account you would like the spam reports sent to. Interface Show Preview Pane Turns SpamButcher's message preview pane on or off. Prompt Before Deleting Messages Let's you select whether or not SpamButcher asks you to confirm before deleting a message. |
